JUNE BARK ABOUT HIKE in the Forests of Mt. Hood!
June is one of the best months to be up in the mountains, and we’d love it if you could join us to check out some of the Forest Service’s handy-work. Long time Bark volunteer Matt Mavko will be guiding us through the forests of Mt Hood. We will continue watching the weather and Forest Service plans and let you know where we’ll be headed when we get it sorted. For now set the date aside because regardless of where we end up, you know it will be good.
Carpools will meet at the Hollywood Trader Joe’s, 4121 NE Halsey in Portland at 9am sharp. It is across the street from the Hollywood Transit Center, near the I-84 exit 2. If you are able to drive, we greatly appreciate your contribution to helping make a successful hike. If you are looking for a ride, please come prepared to reimburse your driver.
Please bring lunch, water, and sturdy boots. The weather is very unpredictable this time of year, so don’t forget extra layers of clothes and water resistant gear. And as we are inviting children on this month’s hike we ask that folks leave their dogs at home.
